When you include the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging (ENOA) in your estate plan, you are ensuring that your values and commitment to supporting older Nebraskans continue to make a difference for generations to come.
A Gift in Your Will
A bequest - a gift that is given through your will - is a simple way to make a planned gift. You can show support of ENOA by gifting a certain amount of cash or a percentage of the estate to be designated for ENOA in your will.
Memorial
Honor a friend or family member by making a memorial gift in their honor.
Required Minimal Distributions (RMDs)
RMDs is the smallest amount individuals must withdraw from employer-sponsored retirement plans each year after retirement. The required withdrawal is taxable income and cannot be rolled into other tax-deferred accounts. If a person does not need the funds from the RMD, donating to ENOA is a great option and considered a qualified charitable distribution (QCD), which may be tax free.
Beneficiary Designations
Assets that properly pass to a qualifying charity are not subject to tax. Naming ENOA as the beneficiary of life insurance policies or unused retirement assets, or adding ENOA as a payable on death beneficiary for CDs, bank accounts or annuities is a simple way to leave a legacy.
